CND Gravity Single Hand Rods

The CND BVGT single handed rods quickly garnered a large following in Scandinavia when they arrived on the scene some years after their legendary double handed relatives.  These rods were characterized by extremely slim blanks and fast recovery, although not with the tip flex action so common amongst many single handed fly rods. The hallmark CND combination of deeper rod actions while not compromising on power or line speed carries on into a new series of single hand rods.

The BVGT single handed rods are now replaced by the Gravity series. The improvements in performance and weight are substantial. Using CND’s new Nano-Pitch improved materials has resulted in rods which have kept many of the characteristics of the BVGT single hand rods, but with considerably reduced swing weight. New for 2023 / 2024 CND now offers a series of Gravity rods for saltwater, ranging from 9′ #6 to 9′ #11.

Gravity 9’ #4 4pc

  • The 9’ #4 Gravity is exceptionally light, with a softer action that delivers a range of small to medium flies with finesse.

Gravity 9’ #5 4pc

  • Searun cutthroat in the salt, wary Trout in minuscule creeks, or single handed spey casting to Bull Trout in coastal streams. The Gravity 9’ #5 has reserve power to deal with challenging conditions, and the finesse to put the fly down gently when needed.

Gravity 9’ #6 4pc

  • With the power to control larger Trout and small pacific Salmon, the Gravity 9’ #6 is a great multi species rod that delivers long casts with larger flies effortlessly.

Gravity 9’ #7 4pc

  • An ideal summer Steelhead, Bass, and light Salmon rod the 9’ #7 Gravity makes short work of bushy dries, poppers, and streamers. In addition to freshwater applications the #7 is an excellent choice on the flats for Bonefish.

Gravity 9’ #8 4pc
